About
Our approach
Cinema beyond conformist standards.
Cineparallax was created in Paris in 2004 by director Augusto Contento and producer Giancarlo Grande. The company specialises in international co-productions, working with partners in Italy, France, Brazil, Germany and the United States, as well as regional and national funds, tax credits and rebates.
For Cineparallax, independence is more than producing outside the majors. It means developing cinematographic languages that create an alternative vision of reality. Authentic cinema should not legitimise the mindset of a ruling system or the power of fashion: it should create visions and awaken the imagination of the audience.
Its films have been selected and awarded at major festivals and recognised by institutions including UNESCO and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
